I’ve taught A-Level Psychology for eight years, both in school and privately, and I’m particularly interested in research methods and psychopathology. A lot of my tutoring involves working through essays together and looking closely at where AO1 and AO3 marks actually come from. I also use past papers regularly, as students often know far more Psychology than they manage to show under exam conditions.

Hi! I started tutoring A-Level Psychology after finishing my degree and have been doing it for just over four years now. Social influence is probably my favourite topic to teach, although I spend plenty of time on biopsychology too. I’m quite practical in lessons: we might go over a study, turn it into a usable revision sheet, then try a couple of exam questions while the material is still fresh.

My background is in cognitive psychology and I have six years of experience teaching A-Level Psychology. I tend to work with students who understand the course reasonably well but find extended responses difficult. We spend time planning 8- and 16-mark answers, selecting relevant evaluation and improving the precision of written arguments. Memory and attachment are two areas I especially enjoy teaching.
